NOW OFFERING Post-op MLD (for surgeon-approved care) - please call 516-531-3675 for details
Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) therapy aims to gently and rhythmically move the lymph through the body, especially swollen (edemic) areas of the body, relieving pressure and enhancing the functioning of the immune system. As both a preventative and remedial technique, MLD can be used for a wide range of purposes: It assists with faster recovery from injury and surgery; it aids in the reduction of swelling and discomfort from pregnancy and post-partum/recovery; and it can stimulate the immune response for overall well-being. This modality can be incorporated into a Swedish or pregnancy massage (for an area-specific treatment), or as an entire session by itself.
Travel fee is additional, when applicable.
Pregnancy massage focuses on addressing the special needs of expectant birth parents. Clients are assisted onto a massage table, draped for comfort and modestly, and bolstered to help alleviate pressure points. Aches and pains are considered and addressed, using protocols expertly adapted for the changes that take place in the body.
Each session includes up to 60 minutes of massage plus 15 minutes for intake and set up.
Travel fee is additional, when applicable.
Comfort touch is excellent for those who need or want a lighter touch. Energetic holds and supportive positioning are designed to work for clients with limited mobility or postural issues. Options include table massage, chair massage, or adaptations for in-wheelchair or bedside sessions.
Caregivers are encouraged to observe (with client permission).
Each session includes up to 25 minutes of massage plus 10 minutes for intake and setup.
Travel fee is additional, when applicable.
For that nagging backache or sore neck, consider a deep tissue massage!
Performed on a massage table with draping for comfort and modesty, the therapist works more deeply into the muscles and fascia (connective tissue) in a slow, deliberate manner. This is a slower, more intense massage experience intended to target trouble spots that can cause those annoying aches and pains.
This technique may cause some discomfort; the therapist will check in to determine if the pressure is appropriate for you.
Each session includes up to 60 minutes of massage plus 10 minutes for intake and set up.
Travel fee is additional, when applicable.
Chair Massage is performed with each client seated comfortably in a specially-designed chair. The client remains clothed and the therapist will work on your target areas - neck, shoulders, arms, hands, and other accessible spots. At the conclusion of the session (usually 10-15 minutes per client), you'll feel refreshed and relaxed - ready for the rest of your day!
